    2 Kings 11
    왕하11:1 아하시야의 어머니 아달랴가 그의 아들이 죽은 것을 보고 일어나 왕의 자손을 모두 멸절하였으나
    When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family.
    왕하11:2 요람 왕의 딸 아하시야의 누이 여호세바가 아하시야의 아들 요아스를 왕자들이 죽임을 당하는 중에서 빼내어 그와 그의 유모를 침실에 숨겨 아달랴를 피하여 죽임을 당하지 아니하게 한지라
    But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes, who were about to be murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah; so he was not killed.
    왕하11:3 요아스가 그와 함께 여호와의 성전에 육 년을 숨어 있는 동안에 아달랴가 나라를 다스렸더라
    He remained hidden with his nurse at the temple of the LORD for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
    왕하11:4 일곱째 해에 여호야다가 사람을 보내 가리 사람의 백부장들과 호위병의 백부장들을 불러 데리고 여호와의 성전으로 들어가서 그들과 언약을 맺고 그들에게 여호와의 성전에서 맹세하게 한 후에 왕자를 그들에게 보이고
    In the seventh year Jehoiada sent for the commanders of units of a hundred, the Carites and the guards and had them brought to him at the temple of the LORD. He made a covenant with them and put them under oath at the temple of the LORD. Then he showed them the king's son.
    왕하11:5 명령하여 이르되 너희가 행할 것이 이러하니 안식일에 들어온 너희 중 삼분의 일은 왕궁을 주의하여 지키고
    He commanded them, saying, "This is what you are to do: You who are in the three companies that are going on duty on the Sabbath--a third of you guarding the royal palace,
    왕하11:6 삼분의 일은 수르 문에 있고 삼 분의 일은 호위대 뒤에 있는 문에 있어서 이와 같이 왕궁을 주의하여 지키고
    a third at the Sur Gate, and a third at the gate behind the guard, who take turns guarding the temple--
    왕하11:7 안식일에 나가는 너희 중 두 대는 여호와의 성전을 주의하여 지켜 왕을 호위하되
    and you who are in the other two companies that normally go off Sabbath duty are all to guard the temple for the king.
    왕하11:8 너희는 각각 손에 무기를 잡고 왕을 호위하며 너희 대열을 침범하는 모든 자는 죽이고 왕이 출입할 때에 시위할지니라 하니
    Station yourselves around the king, each man with his weapon in his hand. Anyone who approaches your ranks must be put to death. Stay close to the king wherever he goes."
    왕하11:9 백부장들이 이에 제사장 여호야다의 모든 명령대로 행하여 각기 관할하는 바 안식일에 들어오는 자와 안식일에 나가는 자를 거느리고 제사장 여호야다에게 나아오매
    The commanders of units of a hundred did just as Jehoiada the priest ordered. Each one took his men--those who were going on duty on the Sabbath and those who were going off duty--and came to Jehoiada the priest.
    왕하11:10 제사장이 여호와의 성전에 있는 다윗 왕의 창과 방패를 백부장들에게 주니
    Then he gave the commanders the spears and shields that had belonged to King David and that were in the temple of the LORD.
    왕하11:11 호위병이 각각 손에 무기를 잡고 왕을 호위하되 성전 오른쪽에서부터 왼쪽까지 제단과 성전 곁에 서고
    The guards, each with his weapon in his hand, stationed themselves around the king--near the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.
    왕하11:12 여호야다가 왕자를 인도하여 내어 왕관을 씌우며 율법책을 주고 기름을 부어 왕으로 삼으매 무리가 박수하며 왕의 만세를 부르니라
    Jehoiada brought out the king's son and put the crown on him; he presented him with a copy of the covenant and proclaimed him king. They anointed him, and the people clapped their hands and shouted, "Long live the king!"
    왕하11:13 아달랴가 호위병과 백성의 소리를 듣고 여호와의 성전에 들어가 백성에게 이르러
    When Athaliah heard the noise made by the guards and the people, she went to the people at the temple of the LORD.
    왕하11:14 보매 왕이 규례대로 단 위에 섰고 장관들과 나팔수가 왕의 곁에 모셔 섰으며 온 백성이 즐거워하여 나팔을 부는지라 아달랴가 옷을 찢으며 외치되 반역이로다 반역이로다 하매
    She looked and there was the king, standing by the pillar, as the custom was. The officers and the trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her robes and called out, "Treason! Treason!"
    왕하11:15 제사장 여호야다가 군대를 거느린 백부장들에게 명령하여 이르되 그를 대열 밖으로 몰아내라 그를 따르는 자는 모두 칼로 죽이라 하니 제사장의 이 말은 여호와의 성전에서는 그를 죽이지 말라 함이라
    Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of units of a hundred, who were in charge of the troops: "Bring her out between the ranks and put to the sword anyone who follows her." For the priest had said, "She must not be put to death in the temple of the LORD."
    왕하11:16 이에 그의 길을 열어 주매 그가 왕궁의 말이 다니는 길로 가다가 거기서 죽임을 당하였더라
    So they seized her as she reached the place where the horses enter the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.
    왕하11:17 여호야다가 왕과 백성에게 여호와와 언약을 맺어 여호와의 백성이 되게 하고 왕과 백성 사이에도 언약을 세우게 하매
    Jehoiada then made a covenant between the LORD and the king and people that they would be the LORD'S people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
    왕하11:18 온 백성이 바알의 신당으로 가서 그 신당을 허물고 그 제단들과 우상들을 철저히 깨뜨리고 그 제단 앞에서 바알의 제사장 맛단을 죽이니라 제사장이 관리들을 세워 여호와의 성전을 수직하게 하고
    All the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces and killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. Then Jehoiada the priest posted guards at the temple of the LORD.
    왕하11:19 또 백부장들과 가리 사람과 호위병과 온 백성을 거느리고 왕을 인도하여 여호와의 성전에서 내려와 호위병의 문, 길을 통하여 왕궁에 이르매 그가 왕의 왕좌에 앉으니
    He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards and all the people of the land, and together they brought the king down from the temple of the LORD and went into the palace, entering by way of the gate of the guards. The king then took his place on the royal throne,
    왕하11:20 온 백성이 즐거워하고 온 성이 평온하더라 아달랴를 무리가 왕궁에서 칼로 죽였더라
    and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been slain with the sword at the palace.
    왕하11:21 요아스가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 칠 세였더라
    Joash was seven years old when he began to reign.

    2 Kings 12
    왕하12:1 예후의 제칠년에 요아스가 왕이 되어 예루살렘에서 사십 년간 통치하니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 시비아라 브엘세바 사람이더라
    In the seventh year of Jehu, Joash became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother's name was Zibiah; she was from Beersheba.
    왕하12:2 요아스는 제사장 여호야다가 그를 교훈하는 모든 날 동안에는 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으되
    Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the years Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
    왕하12:3 다만 산당들을 제거하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 여전히 산당에서 제사하며 분향하였더라
    The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.
    왕하12:4 요아스가 제사장들에게 이르되 여호와의 성전에 거룩하게 하여드리는 모든 은 곧 사람이 통용하는 은이나 각 사람의 몸값으로 드리는 은이나 자원하여 여호와의 성전에 드리는 모든 은을
    Joash said to the priests, "Collect all the money that is brought as sacred offerings to the temple of the LORD--the money collected in the census, the money received from personal vows and the money brought voluntarily to the temple.
    왕하12:5 제사장들이 각각 아는 자에게서 받아들여 성전의 어느 곳이든지 파손된 것을 보거든 그것으로 수리하라 하였으나
    Let every priest receive the money from one of the treasurers, and let it be used to repair whatever damage is found in the temple."
    왕하12:6 요아스 왕 제이십삼년에 이르도록 제사장들이 성전의 파손한 데를 수리하지 아니하였는지라
    But by the twenty-third year of King Joash the priests still had not repaired the temple.
    왕하12:7 요아스 왕이 대제사장 여호야다와 제사장들을 불러 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 성전의 파손한 데를 수리하지 아니하였느냐 이제부터는 너희가 아는 사람에게서 은을 받지 말고 그들이 성전의 파손한 데를 위하여 드리게 하라
    Therefore King Joash summoned Jehoiada the priest and the other priests and asked them, "Why aren't you repairing the damage done to the temple? Take no more money from your treasurers, but hand it over for repairing the temple."
    왕하12:8 제사장들이 다시는 백성에게 은을 받지도 아니하고 성전 파손한 것을 수리하지도 아니하기로 동의하니라
    The priests agreed that they would not collect any more money from the people and that they would not repair the temple themselves.
    왕하12:9 제사장 여호야다가 한 궤를 가져다가 그것의 뚜껑에 구멍을 뚫어 여호와의 전문 어귀 오른쪽 곧 제단 옆에 두매 여호와의 성전에 가져오는 모든 은을 다 문을 지키는 제사장들이 그 궤에 넣더라
    Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid. He placed it beside the altar, on the right side as one enters the temple of the LORD. The priests who guarded the entrance put into the chest all the money that was brought to the temple of the LORD.
    왕하12:10 이에 그 궤 가운데 은이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기와 대제사장이 올라와서 여호와의 성전에 있는 대로 그 은을 계산하여 봉하고
    Whenever they saw that there was a large amount of money in the chest, the royal secretary and the high priest came, counted the money that had been brought into the temple of the LORD and put it into bags.
    왕하12:11 그 달아본 은을 일하는 자 곧 여호와의 성전을 맡은 자의 손에 넘기면 그들은 또 여호와의 성전을 수리하는 목수와 건축하는 자들에게 주고
    When the amount had been determined, they gave the money to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. With it they paid those who worked on the temple of the LORD--the carpenters and builders,
    왕하12:12 또 미장이와 석수에게 주고 또 여호와의 성전 파손한 데를 수리할 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사게 하며 그 성전을 수리할 모든 물건을 위하여 쓰게 하였으되
    the masons and stonecutters. They purchased timber and dressed stone for the repair of the temple of the LORD, and met all the other expenses of restoring the temple.
    왕하12:13 여호와의 성전에 드린 그 은으로 그 성전의 은 대접이나 불집게나 주발이나 나팔이나 아무 금 그릇이나 은 그릇도 만들지 아니하고
    The money brought into the temple was not spent for making silver basins, wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, trumpets or any other articles of gold or silver for the temple of the LORD;
    왕하12:14 그 은을 일하는 자에게 주어 그것으로 여호와의 성전을 수리하게 하였으며
    it was paid to the workmen, who used it to repair the temple.
    왕하12:15 또 그 은을 받아 일꾼에게 주는 사람들과 회계하지 아니하였으니 이는 그들이 성실히 일을 하였음이라
    They did not require an accounting from those to whom they gave the money to pay the workers, because they acted with complete honesty.
    왕하12:16 속건제의 은과 속죄제의 은은 여호와의 성전에 드리지 아니하고 제사장에게 돌렸더라
    The money from the guilt offerings and sin offerings was not brought into the temple of the LORD; it belonged to the priests.
    왕하12:17 그 때에 아람 왕 하사엘이 올라 와서 가드를 쳐서 점령하고 예루살렘을 향하여 올라오고자 하므로
    About this time Hazael king of Aram went up and attacked Gath and captured it. Then he turned to attack Jerusalem.
    왕하12:18 유다의 왕 요아스가 그의 조상들 유다 왕 여호사밧과 여호람과 아하시야가 구별하여 드린 모든 성물과 자기가 구별하여 드린 성물과 여호와의 성전 곳간과 왕궁에 있는 금을 다 가져다가 아람 왕 하사엘에게 보냈더니 하사엘이 예루살렘에서 떠나갔더라
    But Joash king of Judah took all the sacred objects dedicated by his fathers--Jehoshaphat, Jehoram and Ahaziah, the kings of Judah--and the gifts he himself had dedicated and all the gold found in the treasuries of the temple of the LORD and of the royal palace, and he sent them to Hazael king of Aram, who then withdrew from Jerusalem.
    왕하12:19 요아스의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
    As for the other events of the reign of Joash, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
    왕하12:20 요아스의 신복들이 일어나 반역하여 실라로 내려가는 길 가의 밀로 궁에서 그를 죽였고
    His officials conspired against him and assassinated him at Beth Millo, on the road down to Silla.
    왕하12:21 그를 쳐서 죽인 신복은 시므앗의 아들 요사갈과 소멜의 아들 여호사바드였더라 그는 다윗 성에 그의 조상들과 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 아마샤가 그를 대신하여 왕이 되니라
    The officials who murdered him were Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer. He died and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.

    왕하13:1 유다의 왕 아하시야의 아들 요아스의 제이십삼 년에 예후의 아들 여호아하스가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 십칠 년간 다스리며
    In the twenty-third year of Joash son of Ahaziah king of Judah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years.
    왕하13:2 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 따라가고 거기서 떠나지 아니하였으므로
    He did evil in the eyes of the LORD by following the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit, and he did not turn away from them.
    왕하13:3 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 노하사 늘 아람 왕 하사엘의 손과 그의 아들 벤하닷의 손에 넘기셨더니
    So the LORD'S anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son.
    왕하13:4 아람 왕이 이스라엘을 학대하므로 여호아하스가 여호와께 간구하매 여호와께서 들으셨으니 이는 그들이 학대받음을 보셨음이라
    Then Jehoahaz sought the LORD'S favor, and the LORD listened to him, for he saw how severely the king of Aram was oppressing Israel.
    왕하13:5 여호와께서 이에 구원자를 이스라엘에게 주시매 이스라엘 자손이 아람 사람의 손에서 벗어나 전과 같이 자기 장막에 거하였으나
    The LORD provided a deliverer for Israel, and they escaped from the power of Aram. So the Israelites lived in their own homes as they had before.
    왕하13:6 그들이 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 여로보암 집의 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 안에서 따라 행하며 또 사마리아에 아세라 목상을 그냥 두었더라
    But they did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit; they continued in them. Also, the Asherah pole remained standing in Samaria.
    왕하13:7 아람 왕이 여호아하스의 백성을 멸절하여 타작 마당의 티끌 같이 되게 하고 마병 오십 명과 병거 열대와 보병 만 명외에는 여호아하스에게 남겨 두지 아니하였더라
    Nothing had been left of the army of Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Aram had destroyed the rest and made them like the dust at threshing time.
    왕하13:8 여호아하스의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일과 그의 업적은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
    As for the other events of the reign of Jehoahaz, all he did and his achievements, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
    왕하13:9 여호아하스가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 사마리아에 장사되고 그 아들 요아스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
    Jehoahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. And Jehoash his son succeeded him as king.
    왕하13:10 유다의 왕 요아스의 제삼십칠 년에 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 십육 년간 다스리며
    In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned sixteen years.
    왕하13:11 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하고 그 가운데 행하였더라
    He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit; he continued in them.
    왕하13:12 요아스의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일과 유다 왕 아마샤와 싸운 그의 업적은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
    As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, all he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
    왕하13:13 요아스가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 이스라엘 왕들과 함께 사마리아에 장사되고 여로보암이 그 자리에 앉으니라
    Jehoash rested with his fathers, and Jeroboam succeeded him on the throne. Jehoash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
    왕하13:14 엘리사가 죽을 병이 들매 이스라엘의 왕 요아스가 그에게로 내려와 자기의 얼굴에 눈물을 흘리며 이르되 내 아버지여 내 아버지여 이스라엘의 병거와 마병이여 하매
    Now Elisha was suffering from the illness from which he died. Jehoash king of Israel went down to see him and wept over him. "My father! My father!" he cried. "The chariots and horsemen of Israel!"
    왕하13:15 엘리사가 그에게 이르되 활과 화살들을 가져오소서 하는지라 활과 화살들을 그에게 가져오매
    Elisha said, "Get a bow and some arrows," and he did so.
    왕하13:16 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 왕의 손으로 활을 잡으소서 하매 그가 손으로 잡으니 엘리사가 자기 손을 왕의 손 위에 얹고
    "Take the bow in your hands," he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king's hands.
    왕하13:17 이르되 동쪽 창을 여소서 하여 곧 열매 엘리사가 이르되 쏘소서 하는지라 곧 쏘매 엘리사가 이르되 이는 여호와를 위한 구원의 화살 곧 아람에 대한 구원의 화살이니 왕이 아람 사람을 멸절하도록 아벡에서 치리이다 하니라
    "Open the east window," he said, and he opened it. "Shoot!" Elisha said, and he shot. "The LORD'S arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!" Elisha declared. "You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek."
    왕하13:18 또 이르되 화살들을 집으소서 곧 집으매 엘리사가 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 땅을 치소서 하는지라 이에 세 번 치고 그친지라
    Then he said, "Take the arrows," and the king took them. Elisha told him, "Strike the ground." He struck it three times and stopped.
    왕하13:19 하나님의 사람이 노하여 이르되 왕이 대여섯 번을 칠 것이니이다 그리하였더면 왕이 아람을 진멸하기까지 쳤으리이다 그런즉 이제는 왕이 아람을 세 번만 치리이다 하니라
    The man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times."
    왕하13:20 엘리사가 죽으니 그를 장사하였고 해가 바뀌매 모압 도적 떼들이 그 땅에 온지라
    Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring.
    왕하13:21 마침 사람을 장사하는 자들이 그 도적 떼를 보고 그의 시체를 엘리사의 묘실에 들이던지매 시체가 엘리사의 뼈에 닿자 곧 회생하여 일어섰더라
    Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.
    왕하13:22 여호아하스 왕의 시대에 아람 왕 하사엘이 항상 이스라엘을 학대하였으나
    Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz.
    왕하13:23 여호와께서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 더불어 세우신 언약 때문에 이스라엘에게 은혜를 베풀며 그들을 불쌍히 여기시며 돌보사 멸하기를 즐겨하지 아니하시고 이 때까지 자기 앞에서 쫓아내지 아니하셨더라
    But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.
    왕하13:24 아람의 왕 하사엘이 죽고 그의 아들 벤하닷이 대신하여 왕이 되매
    Hazael king of Aram died, and Ben-Hadad his son succeeded him as king.
    왕하13:25 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 하사엘의 아들 벤하닷의 손에서 성읍을 다시 빼앗으니 이 성읍들은 자기 부친 여호아하스가 전쟁 중에 빼앗겼던 것이라 요아스가 벤하닷을 세 번 쳐서 무찌르고 이스라엘 성읍들을 회복하였더라
    Then Jehoash son of Jehoahaz recaptured from Ben-Hadad son of Hazael the towns he had taken in battle from his father Jehoahaz. Three times Jehoash defeated him, and so he recovered the Israelite towns.
